Cortes in Classics 2026 in Villaspeciosa

On Saturday, 18 July 2026 Villaspeciosa will host the 10th edition of Cortes in Classics , an event dedicated to classical music performed inside traditional Sardinian courtyard houses.

This travelling event is unique in its kind, created to bring together two deeply rooted elements of local identity: the Sardinian tradition of the case a corte — historic courtyard houses — and the excellence of classical music.

The event

Cortes in Classics was founded in 2016 from an idea by journalist Maurizio Melis, with the first edition held in the setting of Laconi. Since then, the event has grown while preserving its original identity: promoting Sardinia through classical music and the heritage of its traditional courtyard houses.

Its distinctive feature is its travelling format. The event follows a route through the village, moving from one historic courtyard house to another. The aim is to create a dialogue between Sardinian identity and classical music, offering a cultural experience that involves both residents and visitors.

The host community plays a central role. Local families open their homes, making their courtyards available and preparing them to welcome the concerts.
